HAIKU Solar Bamboo Ceiling Light

Hang It Under Your Pergola. No Electrician. No Wiring. Just Sunlight.

A handwoven solar pendant light that turns any pergola, gazebo, or covered patio into the outdoor dining room you've always wanted. Each rattan shade is hand-woven for over 4 hours by a single artisan — creating shadow patterns as unique as a fingerprint. 8-10 hours of warm golden light, every night, powered entirely by the sun.

Key Feature

① No Electrician Needed — Hang in 5 Minutes
A completely self-contained system — solar panel on the roof, lamp below. No wiring, no permits, no $300–500 electrician fee. Hang it this weekend, and move it anytime.

② Solar + USB Dual Charging
Powered by a 1.2W solar panel that charges in 8-10 hours of sun, with a USB backup for cloudy days. Reliable light, all year round — no matter the weather.

③ 8-10 Hour Runtime, Fully Automatic
Enjoy sunset-to-sunrise lighting, automatically turned on by a dusk-to-dawn sensor. Your patio is always lit when you step outside.

④ Hand-Woven, Not Mass-Produced
Each shade is crafted over 3+hours by an artisan using weather-resistant rattan composite. No two are alike — the unique weave creates beautiful, one-of-a-kind shadow patterns.

⑤ Replaceable LED — Designed to Last
The LED lamp head is replaceable, so your handwoven shade lives on for years. Invest once, enjoy a decade or more of elegant light — for just a few dollars per month.

Perfect for

Outdoor Dining:

•    Pergola dining table — The primary use case. Hang the HAIKU above your outdoor

table and your alfresco dinners go from 'eating outside' to 'dining outdoors.' The 2W warm glow is bright enough to see your food but soft enough to feel like a restaurant.

•    Gazebo entertaining — Hang from the centre of a gazebo for a focal point of light. The rattan shadow patterns project across the ceiling and walls — instant atmosphere.

Covered Outdoor Spaces:

•    Veranda / covered patio — Solar panel on the roof edge catches daylight; lamp hangs underneath. Perfect for Queensland and northern NSW homes with deep verandas.

•    Carport or covered deck  Turn a functional space into an evening relaxation zone. The HAIKU adds warmth to areas that otherwise feel cold and utilitarian after dark.

Relaxation & Living:

•    Outdoor lounge area  Hang above outdoor sofas or daybeds. The warm light + rattan shadow creates a Bali-resort feeling without the plane ticket.

•    Reading nook (indoor/outdoor)  USB charge it, hang indoors from a ceiling hook. The 2W output is comfortable for evening reading.

Commercial:

•    Cafés & restaurants — No wiring costs for outdoor seating areas. Each pendant is unique, which gives your venue a handcrafted, curated aesthetic that chains can't   replicate.

•    Airbnb & holiday rentals — Instant outdoor atmosphere upgrade. Zero installation cost. Guests photograph it for Instagram — free marketing for your listing.

•    Wellness studios & yoga spaces  Natural rattan material + warm 3000K glow = ideal for mindfulness, meditation, and calm environments.

HOW IT INSTALLS

Step 1: Place the solar panel on top of your pergola / gazebo roof

The tempered glass solar panel sits flat on top of your roof structure — pergola beam, gazebo top, or patio cover. It needs to face skyward to catch sunlight. No drilling required — simply rest it on the beam or secure it with the included bracket.

Step 2: Thread the cable through

A connecting cable runs from the solar panel (on top) down to the lamp body (hanging below). Thread it between your pergola slats, along a beam, or through a gap in your gazebo roof.

Step 3: Hang the lamp from a hook

Attach the included hanging hook to a pergola beam, gazebo frame, or ceiling point. Hang the lamp body from the hook. Done.

Step 4: Wait for sunset

The built-in light sensor turns the lamp on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. After the first full day of solar charging (6-8 hours of sunlight), you'll get 8-10 hours of warm light from sunset to sunrise. Every night. Automatically.

That's it. No electrician ($300-500 saved). No wiring through your walls. No conduit or council compliance. Just sunlight → light.

A Heartfelt Note from the Makers:

All our products are lovingly handwoven. This is why each piece carries its own unique "personality" – you might notice gentle curves, natural irregularities, or traces of the maker’s hands. These are not flaws. They are the special marks that make your piece truly yours. The subtle asymmetries and organic undulations you see are where its soul resides, ensuring what you own is one of a kind.

No electrician needed. The HAIKU is a completely wireless solar pendant light. The solar panel sits on top of your pergola, gazebo, or patio roof. A connecting cable runs down to the lamp, which hangs from a simple hook on the underside of the beam. Installation takes about 5 minutes with no tools, no wiring, and no mains electricity involved.

The solar panel sits on TOP of your roof structure — the exposed side of a pergola beam, gazebo roof, or patio cover — where it faces the sky and receives direct sunlight. The lamp body hangs  BELOW the roof via a connecting cable. This separation means the panel charges in full sun while the lamp hangs in the shade where you need it.

The cable is long enough for standard pergola and gazebo heights. If your structure has an unusual height, please contact us for advice before ordering.

The HAIKU works with any structure that has a beam or hook point: timber pergolas, metal
gazebos, covered patios, verandas, Queenslander-style balconies, and carports. It can also hang
from a standalone hook or indoor ceiling point. The lamp weighs only 1.1kg, so most standard
hooks will support it easily

The HAIKU PT0903 offers 8–10 hours of continuous warm white light on a full charge.

Charging options include:
① Solar Charging (Outdoor) – Uses sunlight for free, eco-friendly charging. Ideal in sunny, semi-outdoor, or well-lit window areas.
• Charges fully in 6–8 hours under direct sunlight.

② USB-C Charging (Indoor) – Includes a USB cable for use with adapters, power banks, or computer USB ports. Suitable as a bedside, shelf decor, ambient, or desk lamp.
• USB-C charging takes only 3–4 hours – perfect for cloudy days or indoor use.

Yes. The HAIKU has dual charging: solar for everyday use and USB for overcast stretches. Plug
in the USB cable for 3-4 hours and you have a full charge. This makes it reliable year-round,
including during Melbourne winter or extended rainy periods.

The HAIKU is designed for permanent outdoor use under covered structures. The rattan
composite shade is UV-resistant, moisture-proof, and mould-resistant. It handles everyday rain, dew, and humidity without issue. For heavy storms with driving rain, we recommend positioning it
under adequate cover — the same care you'd give any natural-material fixture outdoors.

Yes — every HAIKU shade is individually hand-woven by a skilled artisan over 8+ hours. Because it's genuine handcraft, each shade has subtle variations in weave pattern, curve, and
texture. These differences are intentional signatures of the artisan's hand. No two HAIKU lamps
are identical — yours is one of a kind.

The HAIKU features a modular, replaceable lamp head with a standard socket. When the LED
eventually fades, you simply twist off the old head and replace it. The handwoven rattan shade —
which took 8+ hours to create — lasts indefinitely. Your $409.99 investment keeps lighting your
space for a decade or more.

The HAIKU collection includes three products, all sharing the same artisan craftsmanship and
dual solar+USB charging: PT0902 is the Ceiling Light (pendant/hanging, designed for pergolas
and gazebos — 2W LED); PT0903 is the Table Lamp (sits on tables and surfaces — 1W LED);
PT0905 is the Path Light (ground-staked for garden paths — 1W LED). Choose PT0902 for
overhead lighting above dining or lounge areas.

Absolutely. The HAIKU is popular with hospitality businesses because it adds artisan-quality
pendant lighting to outdoor dining areas with zero installation cost and zero electricity bill. Each
lamp is unique, giving your venue a handcrafted aesthetic. For Airbnbs, guests frequently
photograph and mention it in reviews — it's both a lighting solution and a visual feature.
